Thank you for your interest in the upcoming Family Missions trip to Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. We look forward to embarking on a life changing experience with you where we will have the opportunity to work at the Casa Bernabé orphanage. Casa Bernabé is currently home to 150 children, and Cherry Hills Community Church has been involved with this ministry for seven years.
On this trip, our team will be working on a light construction project; however, that is not sole the purpose of the trip, and all projects are family friendly! Construction skills are not required! Our primary goal is to minister to the kids of Casa Benabé. Over the years, many people from these family teams have built strong and lasting friendships with the kids. The kids are familiar with the Cherry Hills teams and always look forward to our time with them. One of the most special parts of the trip is being able to spend time with them, developing relationships, and building lasting memories with our families. Even if you don't speak Spanish, simply sitting with them, coloring a page, or kicking a soccer ball around communicates so much! Our goal is simply to spread Christ's love to them and show them how much they are valued.
Throughout the week we will have many activities and opportunities to interact with all of the kids at the orphanage, visit and serve at the local feeding center (which feeds a meal a day to around 600-700 impoverished kids in the community), and spend time touring around the town. Please join us as we share the love and joy of Christ with the people of Puerto Cabezas and children of Casa Bernabé orphanage.
