We began the week with a day of training at Monte Calvario Church in Managua. The youth from Monte Calvario taught all our team members (Monte Calvario, Bethel Church in El Crucero, and CHCC/His Love from Colorado) dances and dramas that would be performed on the street and in the children’s ministry throughout the week. The next day, we went out in the pouring rain to dance on the dirt paths in El Crucero and go door to door inviting people to VBS activities that week. Our day spent on the dirt paths of the village with these amazing Nicaraguan youth was a highlight of the trip. They were a tidal wave of contagious energy and passion for Jesus! If we had been in the U.S., the activity would have been canceled due to the weather, but our team did not waver from the God’s plan for the day. We got drenched, while bonding with our new friends through dance and laughter – and had a blast for Jesus!
