Nicaragua Information Meeting - 1/11/18

Come and learn more about the 2018 trips to Nicaragua.  Nicaragua is considered the second-poorest country in the western hemisphere.  We are offering a number of opportunities for missions in 2018.

- Managua Family Trip July 5-15:  Come join us to serve in the impoverished neighborhoods of Managua and the rural community of El Crucero.  Cherry Hills has been sending teams to El Crucero/Managua for 10 years.  We will come alongside a vibrant church and youth ministry and immerse ourselves in the community by doing outreach in the church, streets and even the city dump. Together we seek to bless the community through several ministry activities including children's and youth ministry, street evangelism using dances and dramas, women's bible study and crafts, and ministry to a community that live and work on a trash dump, light construction and helping with a feeding program.  This is a great trip for families or singles.  Youth from junior high to college are welcome.  Be challenged and blessed by serving the poorest of the poor. 

- Puerto Cabezas: There are 2 trips to Puerto Cabezas, a Men's Trip April 21-28 and a Family Trip July 20-29.  We invite you to embark on a life-changing experience where we will have the opportunity to work at the Casa Bernabé orphanage, home to 130 beautiful children. Cherry Hills has been involved with this ministry for seven years. Throughout the week we will have many opportunities to interact with all of the kids at the orphanage, ages 3-18. We will also serve at the local feeding center (which serves one meal a day to 600 impoverished kids in the community), worship in the local church, and spend time ministering in different local areas such as the hospital, the prison, the city dump, and the community farm. Please join us as we share the love and joy of Christ with the people of Puerto Cabezas and the children of Casa Bernabé orphanage. This year we will be refurbishing the clinic located at the orphanage. The clinic is used by the children and workers in Casa Bernabé and is in desperate need of an upgrade. Construction skills are not required.

- El Crucero Medical/Dental Trip September 21-29: Experience a medical and dental mission trip to El Crucero, Managua, and remote villages. Our team will be working with Project El Crucero and ministries in Managua. The team is comprised of medical, dental and non-medical/dental support members. The primary focus of the trip will be to show the love of Christ by providing medical and dental care in a clinic and villages. In addition to the medical and dental care, there will also be equally important opportunities to show love to the communities with games, crafts, music, and a feeding program.  The trip will also include visiting local churches, working with a dump community and Christian school in Managua.
