During our Day at the Dump in 2017, two of our team members led 12-year old Jessenia to the Jesus. She accepted Christ that day in the midst of the trash. On a return trip to the dump in February 2018, I met Jessenia again. Since our last visit, her life had completely changed! She and her grandmother no longer had to walked miles to the dump each day to make enough money to buy food and medicine. The Beauty for Ashes ministry was providing them with a food allowance each month. They now lived in a hut with corrugated metal walls and roof to keep the wind and rain out. Jessenia had just started school again (she had dropped out to help her grandmother). What a blessing to see how lives are changed by faith in God and by the amazing work of missionaries who are Jesus' hands and feet around the world.
