Juarez - Sept Singles and Families building together 2017, sponsored by the Singles 45+ Section

This trip is sponsored by the Singles 45+ Section and is open TO ALL - single, widowed, divorced, married, and families!  We join together to build a home for needy families in Juarez.  If you think that a few days of building, doing crafts with kids, playing soccer, painting, furnishing houses, learning to make tamales like the pros, making friends, filling goodie bags, and sharing joy and praising God sound like the break from the rat race of Colorado that you are looking for, then you have found the right place to go!

We have a goal of building TWO homes on this trip!  We will travel  to El Paso on 9/6/2017 and meet Missions Ministries staff, who will transport us easily across the border to the Colonias of Juarez.  We stay in the comfortable team center there and enjoy amazing home cooked meals.  We will split up into teams and work on building the homes over the next two days.

On Friday night, we will have a home dedication ceremony at the church where we will feed  the church members and praise God for the blessing of the new homes.

If you choose to drive with us or fly to El Paso to meet us, you can depart on Saturday (9/9), but there is an option to stay for another important event.  If you choose to stay on Saturday, you are in for a treat!  In 2014, we built a church for Pastor Miguel and Elizabeth.  They will be celebrating their 3 year anniversary on 9/9, and many of us will stay to work on Saturday, helping with the preparations.  In the evening, there will be a local Christian band, a speaker, and a praise service.  We will help to serve to the food to those who attend this festive event.  We will then leave on Sunday to return with great stories to tell and wonderful memories to share.

Our team is great at fundraising, and we already have several events planned.  Please contact us about how you can help defray many of the costs.  Juarez is already a low cost international mission trip, and we strive to make our trips even more affordable!
