Haiti - Family Trip 2019 - Canceled due to political unrest in Haiti CLOSED
Isaiah 8:6 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
...And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
CHCC teams partner with Mission of Hope and will participate by serving the local church in the village of Labodrie. We're seeking to meet the spiritual, physical, and economic needs of the village; two primary strategies have been developed to serve Jesus in pursuing life transformation for every man, woman, and child in the village. Strategic Village Time and Church Advancement Projects.
Labodrie faces the dilemma of not having electricity or access to clean water. How can we help them with their basic needs that we take for granted?
STRATEGIC VILLAGE TIME (SVT)
Using basic hygiene, planting fruit/nut bearing trees or providing solar lanterns as an entry point to visit with different houses in the village, teams gather important data about the physical and spiritual needs of the people. The information collected will allow us to measure our effectiveness in saturating the villages with the gospel and leverage the information for meeting the needs of the people to bring life transformation. Teams hang out with villagers at their homes engaging residents in normal and fun conversations, assessing the living conditions, collecting important demographic information, sharing the gospel, and obtaining GPS coordinates of the home. SVT allows us to build & maintain meaningful relationships with the Haitian people and equip the local church to meet the needs of their village.
CHURCH ADVANCEMENT PROJECTS (CA PROJECTS)
CA Projects are specific projects that contribute to the physical needs of the village. These projects represent the highest priorities for meeting the physical needs of the village. Furthermore, they are a part of a continuum of transformation plan that has been developed with the local church pastors and Village Champions. Your team will have the opportunity to sponsor and participate in these projects during your week.
